Basic Drug/Undercover Investigations Course
Ohio NARCO and the Ohio Task Force Commanders Association have partnered to present an intensive one week Basic Drug/Undercover Investigations Course.  This program is a blend of training techniques including classroom instruction in Undercover Operations, Surveillance Operations, Confidential Informants, Technical Equipment Operation, Undercover WeaponsConcealment, Prosecution Pitfalls, and reality based scenario training.

Students are placed in realistic undercover scenarios providing them with the opportunity to learn in a safe training environment. Through individual practical's and team building exercises students gain the basic fundamentals necessary to conduct these dangerous operations with confidence.  Past students have lauded this class as the "Best training they have ever received"

One of the highlights of this program is the instructor, role players, and evaluator staff.  Students receive classroom instruction from veteran narcotic investigators with many years of experience working undercover.  The scenario role players and evaluators are all veteran officers coming from narcotic units, and drug task forces from all over Ohio.

OTFCA, in cooperation with NARCO, will be offering a five day/fifty hour Basic Drug Investigation (BDI) training program for a maximum of 28 students.  Please be aware that all students will be expected to participate in all training activities, which will run into the evening hours and exceed 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.  Students and agency administrators should discuss payroll issues prior to submitting an application for training.
